Soprano

Sophie Price is Scottish lyric soprano, based in London. Sophie has a First Class Degree in Music at the University of Manchester and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music. Known for her warm voice and stage presence, she sings regularly with Constella OperaBallet's Connecting Stars programme, and has worked with St Paul's Opera, The Curious Opera Company, British Youth Opera, Brent Opera & Art Song in Action, alongside extensive teaching work privately and in schools.

She has performed in the Amsterdam Conzertgebouw Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Edinburgh Usher Hall, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the Caird Hall, and has performed on BBC Radio 3 and BBC 1, and alongside her classical career, Sophie has a love for Musical Theatre.

Opera roles include: Mercedes/Frasquita (Carmen), Cis (Albert Herring), Fiordiligi (Cosi Fan Tutte), Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Dame Elizabeth Murgatroyd (Ruddigore) and Simona/e (Gianni Schicchi). Her concert work includes the She Collective, Musica Festival, Manchester Sick! Festival, Derbyshire City & County Wind Band, Vaganza New Music Festival, New Music Northwest Festival, Guildhall Alumni Choir and Art Song in Action.

Teaching and Vocal Health

Outside of performing, Sophie enjoys a varied teaching career, maintaining a private studio and working as Visiting Singing Teacher to The Sydney Russell School. She volunteers at University Hospital Lewisham’s Voice Clinic and delivers vocal health workshops to voice professionals at schools and workplaces. She is passionate about spreading awareness around vocal health education.
